Some of the world's finest football stars like Cristiano Ronaldo, Wayne Rooney, Didier Drogba

Some of the world's finest football stars like Cristiano Ronaldo, Wayne Rooney, Didier Drogba, Franck Ribery, Fabio Cannavaro, Cesc Fabregas, Andres Iniesta, Landon Donovan, Thiago Silva and Theo Walcott are featured in Nike's commercial, along with short cameo appearances by tennis champ Roger Federer, basketball superstar Kobe Bryant, and a special appearance by Homer Simpson.
The ad which is catching fire on the web, was filmed by Alejandro Inarritu, the Mexican Hollywood director of films like "21 Grams" and "Babel", heralding the beginning of Nike's global marketing campaign, three weeks ahead of the 2010 World Cup, which starts in South Africa next June 11. Some are calling it Nike's best ad ever. It's certainly got something cheap nike air max for everyone. Even people who are not fans will find it exciting and entertaining. For die hard fans, they are presented with some of the best filmed, soccer moves ever.
The campaign by Nike, has as its motto "Write your future" and captures the moments in which a country may explode with joy, while another plunges into disappointment and despair in just a matter of a second, with one decisive play. One such play shows Cristiano Ronaldo of Portugal, opening a stadium with his own name, before taking a last-minute free-kick. The duels between Drogba and Cannavaro, followed by Rooney and Ribery are just superb, while Ronaldinho's fabulous football skills are a joy to watch and will be sorely missed, as he will not be part of the Brazilian squad in the World Cup in South Africa.
The new three minute long commercial for their 'Write the Future' campaign features the instrumental rock song called 'Hocus Pocus' by the Dutch band "Focus". This song is part the rock band's album "Moving Waves" launched back in 1971 and famous for its unique blend of hard rock and, interestingly enough... yodeling. Nike Air Max 92 vice president of global football marketing, Davide Grasso said: "This epic campaign really captures the scale, emotion and impact that one single moment in a football game can have on a player, fan or nation".
